Biography
Britney Jean Spears was born on December 2, 1981, in McComb, Mississippi, and grew up in Kentwood, Louisiana. She was on The Mickey Mouse Club as a child, alongside Justin Timberlake and Christina Aguilera, and signed with Jive Records in 1997.
She is one of the best-selling artists of all time. Her conservatorship, which began in 2008, ended in November 2021 after a public campaign by fans.

In the Zone in 2003 had Toxic, which won her a Grammy, and Me Against the Music with Madonna. Blackout, released in 2007 during the hardest year of her life, is now seen as one of the most influential pop albums of the decade, with Gimme More and Piece of Me. Circus followed in 2008 with Womanizer and Circus, then Femme Fatale in 2011 with Till the World Ends and I Wanna Go, Britney Jean in 2013 and Glory in 2016.
Legacy & Influence
Britney's records with Max Martin, the Neptunes and Danja set the sound of mainstream pop for more than a decade. Toxic in particular is still covered, sampled and played in clubs.
