Amala
2018
16 tracks·
Debut studio album (2018), 16 tracks. Includes Juicy, Candy and MOOO!.
Hot Pink and Planet Her are bright, danceable records for getting ready or a party. Scarlet is harder rap for the gym. The slower songs, like Streets, work late at night.

Biography
Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini was born on October 21, 1995, in Los Angeles. She started posting songs on SoundCloud as a teenager and signed with Kemosabe and RCA in 2014.
Her 2018 joke song Mooo! went viral, and she has since won a Grammy for Kiss Me More with SZA.
History
Amala came out in March 2018. Hot Pink followed in November 2019, and Say So became a TikTok dance and, in a remix with Nicki Minaj, her first number one in the US.
Planet Her in 2021 had Kiss Me More, Need to Know and Woman. Scarlet, released in 2023, turned toward rap, and Paint the Town Red went to number one. Vie followed in 2025.
Legacy & Influence
Doja Cat showed how a song could break on TikTok and still become a lasting hit, and she moves between pop and rap more freely than almost anyone of her generation.
