Why the Music of Your Teens Still Hits Hardest
Playprint asks your age for a reason. Researchers who study musical memory keep finding a "reminiscence bump": people remember, and feel most strongly about, the music they heard between roughly ten and thirty, with the peak in the teenage years. A 2020 study by Kelly Jakubowski and colleagues, with listeners of all adult ages, found that songs from those years were linked with more personal memories than songs from other parts of life.
So when you give Playprint your age, it leans the album towards the years that tend to matter most to someone like you, then mixes in the genre, the moment and the mood you picked. If you answer with a decade instead, it simply builds from that decade.
The picks come from a closed list of Mixtuby's own playlists. The AI chooses and orders from that list and names the album; it cannot make up a song.

Where does the music come from?
From Mixtuby's own hand-picked playlists, played through the official YouTube player. Playprint picks and orders; it never downloads anything, and it cannot invent a song that is not in those playlists.
Can it make a playlist for a party, a road trip or studying?
Yes. The occasion question covers driving, running, a party, romance, a birthday, home, training, working, cooking, sleep and holidays, and you can pick a mood instead.
Why does it ask my age?
The music people care about most is usually the music of their teens and twenties, so your age decides which years the album leans on. You can pick a decade instead.
Is there a limit?
Up to 50 albums a day, which is far more than anyone listens to. It is there to stop scripts, not people.
Is it free? What happens to my answers?
Free. Your answers and the optional note go to our server and to OpenAI, which helps choose and name the album. The songs you were already given are kept in this browser and sent with your next request so they are not repeated.
